Helped by Salo(inuitt) and his good friend with two teams of dogs, we made a superb start. At first we drove "snørekjøring" on the fjord, then we transported our pulkas (sledges) to approximately 790 m. above mean sea level. Afterwards in whiteout to 955 m. Our pulkas (sledges) are quite heavy, 70-85kg, so we camped early. "Real turmat" for dinner. We are all in a good shape and for the moment on the bright side of life!
